WESTERN CAPE: On Tuesday 19 July, police members of Operation Lockdown led an intelligence driven operation in Botrivier.
The police members operationalised the information and tactically approached the identified address. During the search of the entire premises, they confiscated a consignment of different calibre ammunition. A 40 year old man was arrested and detained on a charge of possession of unlicensed ammunition as he was not in possession of a valid license to possess the mentioned ammunition.
Once charged, the suspect is expected to make a court appearance in the Hermanus Magistrate court on the mentioned charge.
